The Evil Machine: To Attack or Not Attack

Do you know what sells? Evil sells. Sin sells. Unfortunately, it's worth a lot of money. Billions of dollars a year go to keeping the evil machine alive. Movies, under the alias of virtual reality and entertainment, allow minds to be filled with evil when it is against the law to do the same thing in reality. Music, under the guise of art, influences emotions to be displayed in real-time. The Internet, under the title of technological advancement for the betterment of society, provides people the opportunity to live in a virtual world with real-life consequences. Media, under the false name of news and information, fire up the world with biased information poised to sell certain ideologies at the cost of the truth. With lies and falsehoods, evil and sin, how is one to live pure and clean in this world? How are our little ones to be raised in a positive environment?

There are two ways we can look at this issue. We can look at the big picture, the evil machine along with all of its components, or we can look at people at an individual level. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]". There is indeed a battle to be fought against evil. 2 timothy 3:1-5 says, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

Folks, evil and sin we live with without choice. No matter how much you pray for evil to go away, it is not going anywhere until Jesus comes back. We need to point our heavenly weapons at the target, but the target is not the evil machine. God is allowing evil to be in the world for a set amount of time. You cannot pray against something God permits. Evil is allowed to present at this time to push people to the knowledge of salvation through Jesus. So if evil in the world is here with Gods' permission for a time, where do we aim our heavenly weapons?

As a Christian, your target is the lives of people. Your target is their souls. Aim your prayer toward the lives of your children and family. Speak the Word of God to those around you. Pray that evil is held back in their lives long enough for them to meet Jesus. Prayer for the deliverance of people. Tell satan to leave the people you know and love alone. You have the power and authority to do so through Jesus.

It is taxing, all-consuming, and frustrating to pray against the evil machine as a whole. It is a mountain none of us can defeat. God will fight that battle in His time. However, He has given us the harvest fields. He has given us the souls to reach. He has given us the power to overcome the enemy in our lives and in the lives of others. A blanket prayer against general evil is not enough. Prayer at the individual level will change lives.

Aim your spiritual weapons at the enemy as he and his army attack you or those you know and love!
